The Icons and the architecture of a Byzantine church are designed to lift up mankind in all his entirety to contemplation of spiritual realities.

After the old Byzantine church became too small for the growing number of those who wanted to participate in the liturgy, a new Byzantine church was consecrated in 1986 in the former monastery brewery. The building dates from the 17th century and has attractive Baroque arches and good acoustics, which are complemented by an interior shaped and furnished in accordance with Eastern Orthodox tradition. The main entryway passes through an exterior (Exonarthex) and interior (Narthex) vestibule which is accessible for visitors during the day. The Iconostasis (Icon dividing wall) between the main aisle (Naos) and the altar (sanctuary) is decorated with numerous icons according to a traditional sequence.
