Directions to the Abbey

Parking
There is ample parking space at the Abbey. Parking lots are marked with a “P” in the map of the Abbey:

• In the yard of the service and maintenance area
• Behind the “Zacher House” („Zacherhaus“)
• In the parking space in front of the Basilica across from the Café “Am Kirchplatz”

In the Mauritius Courtyard (the enclosed yard of the monastery) loading and unloading is permitted (but not parking).
We assume no responsibility for parked vehicles.

Bicycle Rentals
We rent bicycles for bicycle tours and exploration of the surrounding countryside. The rental fee
is € 7.- per day (at the reception desk).

W-LAN access codes for free at the reception desk.

Meal times
Breakfast: 8:00 to 9:00 am
Lunch: 12:20 pm (12:00 pm on Sundays and holidays)
Dinner: 6:15 pm
Afternoon coffee (for groups on arrangement): 2:00-5:00 pm

Beverages are always available in the Dining Room and in the “Kellerstüberl” (the beer cellar) in the basement of Pirmin House.

A coffee machine in the Dining Room also offers hot water for Tee.

Please give advance notice at the reception desk in Pirmin House if you plan to skip a meal.

Church services and meditation
The monastery always offers an opportunity to attend the monastic liturgical services (mass or the prayers of the hours) in the German language, both in the Roman and in the Byzantine rites. The chapel and St. Anthony’s meditation room in Pirmin Guest are always open for our guests.
